Bollywood Unplugged in Brunei Darussalam

            Sugar n Spice, a14-member popular dance and music groupled by Mickey and Monica Narula, visited Brunei Darussalam from 10 to 14 January 2018 to celebrate 25 years of ASEAN-India DialoguePartnership.

2.         Her Royal Highness Princess HajahMasna, Ambassador-at-large in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Trade, Government of Brunei Darussalam, was the Chief Guest at thepublicperformance held on 12 January 2018 at the Jerudong International School auditorium. DatoPaduka Seri Haji AwangHalbi, the Minister for Culture, Youth and Sports,also graced the occasion along with members of the diplomatic corps, government officials, prominent Bruneians and members of the Indian community. Over 600 persons enjoyed a lively and enthralling 90-minutes’ performance. High Commissioner SmtNagmaM Mallick, welcomed the guests and thanked Princess HajahMasna for her presence and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Trade for their support of the event. She highlighted the important role played by Brunei Darussalam in the context of ASEAN-India Partnership and welcomed Brunei’s participation in the various events held in the two countries to commemorate the 25 years of ASEAN-India Partnership.

3.         On 13 January 2018, the group performed at the PusatEhsan Al-Ameerah Al-Hajjah Maryam, a non-governmental charity organization which provides education, rehabilitation and training to children with special needs.The visit was sponsored by ICCR, New Delhi; the local sponsors wereComquest, Baiduri Bank and Nazmi Textiles.
