KIP Guidelines
The Government of India has been organizing “Know India Programmes” (KIPs) for the Indian youth diaspora in the age group of 18-30, with an objective to connect them with their motherland and to give them an exposure about the various aspect of contemporary India’s form of art, culture and heritage etc.
This programme is open only for Indian origin diaspora youth. NRIs are not eligible to apply for this programme. Preference would be given to PIOs who have not visited India so far.
In its series, the Government has decided to organize 6 KIPs during the Financial year 2019-20. The schedule of the these KIPs is,as under:-

Minimum qualification required for participating in KIPs is graduation from a University/Institute or enrolled for graduation.
Eligible applicants from Brunei Darussalam interested in participating in the above programmes are requested to register themselves in the portal (www.kip.gov.in). It may please be noted that no application of an applicant will be considered, if the said applicant had already visited India under any of the schemes funded by the Government of India.
Selected participants would be required to purchase air ticket for their journey from Brunei to India and back, as per schedule prescribed by the Ministry. The High Commission will arrange for return air tickets before participants leave for India, after getting 10% of the total air fare from them.
KNOW INDIA PROGRAMME (KIP)
Ministry of External Affairs will be organizing the 49th to 52nd edition of KIP on the KIP Portal (https://kip.gov.in). The registration is open for Indian Origin Youths between the age group 18 to 30 years. The details are as below:

2. It may also be noted that 50% of the participants will be selected from Mauritius for the 51st and 52nd KIPs as the Mauritius President will be the Chief Guest for the PBD Convention 2019. The remaining 50% of the participants will be selected from other countries and preference will be given to participants from Girmitiya countries.
