ITEC Day Celebration 2017, 17 October 2017

The Indian Technical and Economic Cooperation Day 2017 (ITEC) was organized by India House on 17 October 2017. About 50 guests including ITEC alumni from the Audit Department, Narcotics Department, Officials from Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Trade, (MOFAT), Vice Chancellor of University Technology Brunei, lecturers at the University of Brunei Darussalam, University Islam Sultan Sharif Ali (UNISSA), UTB and Bruneian nationals who part The ASEAN-India Youth Summit, ASEAN-India Artists Camp and ASEAN-India Music Festival.

On this occasion, the High Commissioner, Smt. Nagma M. Mallick delivered a speech highlighting the government of India since independence and extension of technical assistance to more than 12,000 trainees from 161 countries. She mentioned that ITEC was fully funded by the Government of India. The High Commissioner noted that about 35 Bruneians have attended the ITEC programmes in Audit, postal training and narcotics control.

An ITEC alumnus and Bruneian participants of the Youth Summit, Artist Camp and Music Festival shared their experiences of visiting India. This was followed by the dinner for the guests.
